SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- Texas Lutheran women's golf opened the 2025 Carla Spenkoch Invitational at Quarry Golf Course in San Antonio on Monday.
San Antonio native sophomore Belle Asbury (San Antonio/Davenport) paced the Bulldogs shooting 14-over (85), tying for 28th through the opening 18 holes. Jordyn Ponewash (Flatonia/Flatonia) trails Asbury by two strokes after her opening round, tying for 32nd.
Lillian Niemeyer (Conroe/Conroe) sits in 35th after an opening round score of 88 while Danielynn Conde (Raymondville/Raymondville) is in 41st place.
As a team, Texas Lutheran is in eighth place through the opening 18 holes with a score of 91-over 375. Trinity, who's acting as the tournament's host, leads through the first day with a score of 14-over 298.
The Bulldogs will begin their final round tomorrow at 8Â AM at Quarry Golf Course.
