CONWAY, AR -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball dropped a four-set match to Hendrix College, 28-26, 18-25, 19-25, 13-25, Saturday afternoon at Grove Gymnasium in Conway, Arkansas.
Ryann Ely (Montgomery/Concordia Lutheran) led Texas Lutheran with 11 kills and 14 digs for her second double-double of the day and third of the season, while Nadia Dunn (Houston/Pearland) finished with nine kills and 10 digs.
Addison Gallegos (Pleasanton/Jourdanton) had a team-high 20 assists while Richelle Guerra (Brownsville/Rivera) led the Bulldogs with 26 digs and added two service aces.
The first set saw Hendrix take a 19-15 lead before the Bulldogs rallied to tie the set 24-all before taking the set 28-26. Ely led the TLU with four kills while Zaria Solis (Burnet/Burnet) tallied three blocks.
Texas Lutheran led the second set 16-15 before the Warriors went on a 10-2 run to win the second set 25-18 to tie the match.
The third set saw seven ties and four lead changes but it would be the Warriors who would come out on top 25-19.
The Warriors put the match away with a 25-13 win in the fourth set.
Texas Lutheran will close the SCAC Divisional weekend against Dallas on Sunday at 12 PM. The match will be streamed on FloCollege. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
