CONWAY, AR -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball dropped a tough four-set match to Austin College, 25-23, 24-26, 19-25, 20-25, Saturday morning at Grove Gymnasium in Conway, Arkansas.

Ryann Ely (Montgomery/Concordia Lutheran) led Texas Lutheran with 10 kills and 15 digs for her second double-double of the season and added a team-high three blocks, while Nadia Dunn (Houston/Pearland) finished with nine kills and 15 digs. Maselina Tuufuli (St. Hedwig/Steele) added eight kills.

Addison Gallegos (Pleasanton/Jourdanton) had 16 assists and 10 digs in addition to six kills for sixth double-double of the season while Naomi Gamboa (San Antonio/Warren) tallied 15 assists and seven digs. Richelle Guerra (Brownsville/Rivera) led the Bulldogs with 25 digs and added nine assists and two service aces.

The first set saw Austin College take an 18-12 lead before the Bulldogs rallied to close the set on a 13-5 run to take the opening set. Ely led the opening charge with five kills with Tuufuli adding four of her own.

After taking an 18-13 lead in the second set, the 'Roos battled back to tie the set 24-24 before taking tying the match at one with a 26-24 set win.

The third set was back-and-forth throughout with the teams battling to a 18-18 tie before a 7-1 'Roos run put the set away.

The fourth set saw the 'Roos attempt to pull away from the Bulldogs early, putting the match away with a 25-20 win.

Texas Lutheran will turn its attention to SCAC Divisional host, Hendrix College at 2 PM. The match will be streamed on FloCollege. All streaming and live stats links will be available on tlubulldogs.com.
