SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Volleyball team completed its seventh sweep of the season with a win against McMurry (25-17, 25-19, 25-19). The Bulldogs held the War Hawks below their season hitting percentage (.134) at .000 and held them to their third lowest kills of the season at 26. 

Maselina Tuufuli (St. Hedwig/Steele) finished with nine kills, a block, and two digs. Ryann Ely (Montgomery/Concordia Lutheran) notched six kills, nine digs, a block, and two service aces. Sophomore Nadia Dunn (Houston/Pearland) recorded 16 digs along with five kills, marking her fourth straight game with double-digit digs. Seven Bulldogs recorded at least one kill in the win.

In the opening set of the match, the Bulldogs limited the War Hawks offense to a .000 hitting percentage. Tuufuli led the Bulldogs with four kills in the opening set.

Addison Gallegos (Pleasanton/Jourdanton) notched four assists in the second set as the Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead with a 25-19 set win. Texas Lutheran held the War Hawks to a -.024 hitting percentage in the second set.

Texas Lutheran finished the final set of the match limiting McMurry to a .021 hitting percentage. Ely and Tuufuli sealed the victory for the Bulldogs, combining for eight kills.

Texas Lutheran will travel to Conway, Arkansas to participate in the Hendrix SCAC divisional weekend starting Saturday, Oct. 25 when the Bulldogs take on Austin College and Hendrix in two pivotal conference matches at 9 AM and 2 PM.
