Bulldog Bash Set for Thursday, Oct. 23 in Memorial Gymnasium

SEGUIN, Texas -- With the start of the college basketball season just over a month away, the 2025-26 Texas Lutheran men's and women's basketball teams make their debut to start homecoming weekend on Oct. 23, during the annual Bulldog Bash event at "The Dog House" Memorial Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs' annual event celebrates the start of the college basketball season for both teams. The two teams will be introduced to the soundtrack by DJ Millionaire while also partaking in a skills contest, three-point contest, beat the clock challenge, and more with the men's basketball dunk contest as the main event.

Doors to Memorial Gymnasium will open at 7 PM, with the programming inside beginning at 7:30 PM, including performances by the Texas Lutheran cheer team. Head Coach Austin Falke and the TLU Men's Basketball team will be introduced first followed by head coach Troy Patterson's women's team before the games begin.

"I'm excited about the new year. We bring a majority of the team from last season back and bring in three new players we look forward to getting on board playing Bulldog basketball and for people getting to see them for the first time in addition to adding three we lost for a majority of last season due to injury. Last year was a ton of fun and hopefully, we'll have even more out this time." stated women's basketball head coach Troy Patterson. "It's a great opportunity to come out and support your Bulldogs," said men's basketball head coach Austin Falke. "It's going to be a fun night and I look forward to seeing everyone there."

Bulldog Bash will be a free event to attend and the entire community is invited.

The Texas Lutheran men and women open the regular season versus Hardin-Simmons on Friday, Nov. 7 in Abilene.
