IRVING, Texas -- The #RV Texas Lutheran women's basketball team (13-2, 7-0 SCAC) picked its eighth consecutive win and seventh straight SCAC win on Friday with an 87-68 win over Dallas (2-14, 1-6 SCAC) on Friday in the Maher Center.

Junior Lauren Sansano (San Antonio/FEAST) was the team's leading scorer with 19 points alongside five assists, three rebounds, and three steals. Seniors Elexis Morado (Kingsville/Santa Gertrudis Academy) and Kailee Mulkey (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) also finished in double figures with eleven and ten points respectively. Morado grabbed a season-high six rebounds and dished out three assists while Mulkey grabbed four rebounds and tallied four assists. Sarahi Jones (Los Fresnos/Los Fresnos) grabbed a game-high nine rebounds in addition to her seven points. Chaeli Criddle (Canyon Lake/FEAST) led the Bulldogs with a career-high nine points off the bench.

The Crusaders came out shooting a scorching 64 percent from the field, including 6-of-10 from beyond the arc to lead the Bulldogs 24-23 after the first quarter. It would be all Bulldogs for the remainder of the game as the Bulldogs outscored the host Crusaders 47-28 over the second and third quarters on Friday.

The Bulldogs were at their most effective in the third quarter, outscoring Dallas 25-14 with Elexis Morado scoring seven points in the period.

Texas Lutheran would lead by as many as 19 points on Friday. TLU outrebounded Dallas 40-30 and outscored the Crusaders 48-14 in the paint. Texas Lutheran scored 25 points off turnovers and outscored the Crusaders bench 34-15.
