HOUSTON -- Texas Lutheran Women's Volleyball started its 2020-21 season with a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference losses Friday at the University of St. Thomas.
TLU fell in four games (25-23, 25-22, 22-25, 25-21) in the 2 p.m. match and in three games (25-15, 25-23, 25-20) in the 6 p.m. match.
St. Thomas moved to 2-0 overall and to 2-0 in the SCAC. TLU dropped to 0-2 overall and to 0-2 in the SCAC.
In the first contest,
Madison Weisinger led TLU with 16 kills on 45 attempts.
Peyton Sulak added 13 kills on 32 attempts and registered three blocks and nine digs.
In the second match, Weisinger produced 10 kills on 28 attempts and added three total blocks. Hall registered three blocks and 16 assists, and Galaviz dished out 15 assists and had three aces and nine digs.
TLU hit .101 in the first match and .085 in the second.
The Bulldogs return to action next Saturday with home matches against Schreiner at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. in TLU's Memorial Gymnasium.
