SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran put up 14 runs on eight hits in a non-conference 14-7 home victory Saturday against Millikin (Ill.).
TLU won its second straight overall and second straight against Millikin, out of Decatur, Ill..
The Bulldogs are now 9-4 overall. Millikin dropped to 1-5. The Bulldogs and Big Blue play a final game in the series on Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. at TLU's Katt-Isbel Field.

Cullen Motsinger (Houston/Cypress Ranch),
Nick Gardoni (Salinas, Calif./Palma),
Chad Curtis (Wollforth/Frenship),
Trey Albaugh (Tomball/Concordia Lutheran), and
Joe Jimenez (San Antonio/Johnson) each drove in a pair of runs.
Bulldog designated hitter
Cole Irby (Buda/Hays) tied TLU Hall of Famer Aaron Crais's single-game school record for walks. Irby walked five times against Millikin. Crais walked five times in a 2006 American Southwest Conference playoff game against Austin College.
Irby scored three times, and
Austin Colon (La Grange/La Grange) and
Cameron Wilson (Katy/Morton Ranch) each scored twice.
Matthew Hickey (2-0) tossed 3-2/3 innings of two-hit baseball to get the win. Hickey (Houston/Klein Collins) struck out one and did not walk a batter.
TLU took advantage of four Millikin fielding errors. Seven of the 14 runs scored against Millikin were unearned.
