SEGUIN, Texas -- Wisconsin-Platteville delivered a 7-2 home defeat to No. 6 Texas Lutheran on Friday in the first game of a non-conference, three-game series.

Jonathan Kelso collected three hits and drove in two for the Pioneers, and left-hander Caleb Kaufmann (1-1) pitched five innings of two-hit baseball. Kaufmann took a no-hitter into the fifth.

The Pioneers improved to 2-4 overall. TLU dropped to 10-5.

Josh Moses added two hits, included a solo home run, for UW-Platteville. Moses also scored a pair of runs.

TLU was held to five hits. Spencer Brandt (Yoakum/Yoakum) had a pair of hits, a run scored and an RBI.

The first five batters in the Bulldogs' lineup went a combined 0-for-17.

Nate Jennings tossed three innings of three-hit relief for the Pioneers, and Scott Gordon worked a hitless ninth.

The Bulldogs and Pioneers play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at TLU's Katt-Isbel Field.
