SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran advanced to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Championship semifinal with a 66-41 win Friday afternoon over Schreiner University.
The Bulldogs improved to 17-9 overall. Schreiner's season concluded with a record of 6-20.
TLU, the No. 3 seed in the SCAC Championship, faces No. 2 seed Austin College at 2 p.m. Saturday in TLU's Memorial Gymnasium (Jim Shuler Court).
Against Schreiner, TLU led 30-19 at the half and used a 20-7 third quarter to put the game away.

Abby Hroch (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) scored 16 points to lead all scorers. She added six rebounds and two blocks.
Morgan Rodriguez (New Braunfels/Canyon) and
Dominique Campos (Laredo/Alexander) each scored 12.
Jenesis Navarro (San Antonio/Lee) registered six points, five assists and four steals.
TLU shot 53.3 percent from the field in the third quarter and hit 3-of-4 three-pointers in those 10 minutes.
Schreiner was held to 13-for-51 (25.5 percent) from the field for the game. The Mountaineers were 1-for-9 in the third quarter.
TLU dished out 20 assists and only turned the ball over 11 times. Schreiner turned the ball over 24 times.
The women's tournament action in Memorial Gymnasium starts at noon Saturday with the No. 1 seed Trinity faced No. 5 Colorado College. CC upset No. 4 seed Southwestern.
