KERRVILLE, Texas -- Texas Lutheran put four players in double-figures and dominated the defensive glass 27-17 to move to 4-2 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 76-55 win over Schreiner University Tuesday night.

Alex Cage (Austin/McNeil) came off the bench to score a game-high 14 and added seven rebounds and four assists for the Bulldogs, who improved to 9-6 overall.

TLU (9-6, 4-2 SCAC) has won six of its last seven games.

The Mountaineers, led by Ellis Jones' 10 points and five rebounds, dropped to 5-9 overall and to 1-4 in the SCAC.
SU held three four-point leads in the first four minutes of play, but held their final lead of the night, 9-7, with 16:05 remaining in the first.Â
The Bulldogs used 51.7 percent shooting in the first half to take a 42-19 lead at the half. TLU held SU to just 29.6 percent shooting from the field and 14.3 percent from the arc, allowing only one three-pointer for the Mountaineers in the first half.Â
TLU lead by as many as 30 points in the second half.Â
The Bulldogs finished with 50.9 percent (28-for-55) shooting from the field and went 11-for-27 (40.7 percent) from the arc.Â
Jackson Willoughby (Port Aransas/Port Aransas)Â went 5-for-5 from the field and 2-for-2 from the line to score 13 points. He also pulled down five defensive rebounds.
Harris Jowell (Brock/Brock) chipped in 12 points to go along with a team-high eight rebounds, while
Nathan Josephs (San Antonio/Texas State) added 11 points, four steals, and three assists.Â
