SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs collected a 64-54 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference road win against Trinity University Saturday evening.Â
At Calgaard Gymnasium, the Bulldogs went 19-for-57 (33.3 percent) from the field and went 81 percent (17-for-21) from the free throw line.Â
TLU improved to 8-6 overall and to 3-2 in the SCAC. Trinity dropped to 2-11 overall and to 2-2 in conference.Â
Senior guard
Nathan Josephs (San Antonio/Texas State) led the Bulldogs in scoring with 13. He added two steals, three assists and three rebounds.Â
Sebastian Andrade (El Paso/Americas) and
Jacob Kouremetis (San Antonio/O'Connor) each put up 12 points. Kouremetis grabbed five rebounds (1 offensive, 4 defensive) and had three assists.Â
Jackson Willoughby (Port Aransas/Port Aransas) contributed nine points, five rebounds, and an assist.
Harris Jowell (Brock/Brock) pulled down a team-high 12 rebounds to go along with his seven points. Â
Brooks Mays paced the Tigers with 16 points and five rebounds. Mays posted two steals and two assists. Isaiah Specks added eight points.Â
The Bulldogs continue conference play Tuesday against Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. in the SU Event Center.Â
