SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran jumped out to a big lead and cruised to a 83-36 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory Friday night over the University of Dallas.
With the win in TLU's Memorial Gymnasium, the Bulldogs moved to 11-7 overall and to 7-2 in the conference.
Dallas fell to 1-14 overall and to 1-6 in the SCAC.
The Bulldogs led 48-10 at the half and by as many as 55 in the second half.
Sixteen different Bulldogs scored.
Tara Molina (San Antonio/Johnson) led TLU with 12 points, three assists and two steals.
Jayla Santa Maria (Edinburg/Edinburg) added 11 points, and
Morgan Rodriguez (New Braunfels/Canyon) contributed 10 points.
The Bulldogs made 12 of their 25 three-point attempts.
TLU held Dallas to 27.3 percent shooting for the game. The Crusaders turned the ball over 25 times.
The Bulldogs had just eight turnovers and registered 26 assists. Eight different Bulldogs had at least two assists.

Madyson Garcia (San Antonio/Clemens) dished out four assists and had six rebounds.
TLU has won three of its last four and sits one game behind Austin College and Trinity in the loss column in the SCAC standings.
In their next contest, the Bulldogs host Trinity on Saturday, Jan. 26 for a 4 p.m. game in Memorial Gymnasium.
