SHERMAN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran produced 10 hits in a 5-4 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win Friday night against Austin College. 

The Bulldogs improved to 29-9 overall and 11-5 in the SCAC. 

The 'Roos fell to 13-16 overall and 6-10 in conference. 

Thomas Varner (Austin/Bowie), Riley Schaefer (Thorndale/Thorndale), and Tyler Cauley (Baytown/Barbers Hill) each had two hits for the Bulldogs. Schaefer tripled, drove in one and scored one, and Varner tripled and plated two runs. Cauley doubled and drove in one. 

Keaton Boysen (Scottsdale, Ariz/Gateway CC) and Cameron Wilson (Katy/Morton Ranch) each drove in runs for TLU. 

Senior right-hander Dylan Drgac (Caldwell/Caldwell) pitched 7 innings and allowed three earned runs. He struck out nine and walked two. Drgac improved to 10-1. 

Dylan Murrell (Tomball/Memorial) tossed the last two innings and earned his third save of the season. Murrell struck out one and allowed one earned run. 

TLU and AC play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at AC's Baker Field to finish the three-game series.
