SHERMAN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs collected 13-1 and 14-1 road wins Saturday afternoon over Austin College to complete a three-game conference series sweep over the 'Roos. 

At Baker Field in Sherman, Texas, both games ended after seven innings due to the 10-run rule. 

TLU took game one of the series Friday night with a 5-4 win over Austin College. The Bulldogs improved to 31-9 overall and 13-5 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. 

The 'Roos dropped to 13-18 overall and to 6-12 in the SCAC. 

In the early game, the Bulldogs scored in every inning but the fifth. TLU senior center fielder Riley Schaefer (Thorndale/Thorndale) went 3-for-5 with three RBI, including a three-run home run. 

Tyler Cauley (Baytown/Barbers Hill) drove in eight (three in the first game and five in the second). He went 2-for-3 in game one and 3-for-4 in game two. Cauley hit a two-run home run in the second game. 

TLU redshirt junior Nathan Malinovsky (New Braunfels/New Braunfels) pitched six innings and allowed one run (unearned) in the early game for the win. Malinovsky (10-1) scattered five hits, struck out nine and walked just one. 

Cauley hit the first of TLU's three home runs in the second game to kick off scoring for the Bulldogs in the first. Chad Curtis (Wolfforth/Midland JC) produced a solo home run in the second, and Schaefer hit a two-run homer to left field in the fifth. 

Curtis finished 3-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in the late game. 

Schaefer, Thomas Varner (Austin/Bowie), and Eric Rabinowitz (Schertz/Clemens) each tallied two hits in the second game. Rabinowitz collected a double and plated one run, and Varner scored two for the Bulldogs. 

TLU totaled 27 runs and 26 hits. The Kangaroos managed just two runs and 11 hits. AC also committed five errors in the two contests, and TLU was guilty of three. 

Landon Weatherly (Granbury/Granbury) earned the win with four innings of work in game two. He struck out five and allowed one earned run. 

Drew Waller (Bellville/Bellville), Jacob Wieder (Houston/Klein Collins), and Clint Johns (Orland,Calif./Orland) each threw one inning of relief for the Bulldogs. Wieder and Johns each struck out one. 

Seeding for the upcoming SCAC tournament will be decided following conference play this weekend. The 2018 SCAC Championship Tournament is set to take place in Cleburne, Texas next weekend.
