SEGUIN, Texas -- Senior right-hander Dylan Drgac (Caldwell/Caldwell) tossed a complete-game, five-hit shutout to lead the Bulldogs to a 2-0 victory over University of Chicago.

Friday night at Katt-Isbel Field, Drgac struck out two to improve to 6-1 overall. The two-time Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week walked only one in the nine-inning contest.

TLU improved to 16-4 overall, and Chicago dropped to 7-4 overall.

The Bulldogs gave Drgac a 1-0 lead in the first inning with a ground ball from Matthew Lemon. Lemon's at bat resulted in a ground double play, but allowed Riley Schaefer (Thorndale/Thorndale) to cross home plate for the Bulldogs.

TLU extended the lead to 2-0 with a solo home run from Spencer Brandt (Yoakum/Yoakum) in the third, his second for the season.

Chicago right-hander Brenton Villasenor kept The Maroons in the game with nine innings of work. He allowed two earned runs and scattered seven hits. He struck out three and walked two.
