SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran senior utility player Kyla Lockley (Wharton/Boling) and senior right-hander Maitlin Raycroft (Spring/Klein) have been named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.

Lockley shared SCAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors with Gabriella Acuna of Schreiner University. Lockley hit .571 over a four-game conference sweep of the University of Dallas with a hit in every game and three multi-hit games.

Lockley scored a run in every game and drove in at least one run in three of the four contests. In the 12-1 victory in the series finale, she went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI. She also went 3-for-3 in stolen bases for the week.

Through weekend play, Lockley was batting .436 (seventh in the SCAC) with 17 hits (seventh in the SCAC), 12 runs scored (fifth in the SCAC) and eight stolen bases (fourth in the SCAC).

Raycroft picked up two victories in the Bulldogs' four-game conference sweep of Dallas. She took a no-hitter into the fifth inning of the late game Friday and finished with a two-hitter. She struck out 14 in the victory.

In the 12-1 win in the series finale, Raycroft tossed four innings and struck out six. In the two starts, she struck out 20, walked only three and had an ERA of 0.64.

After the four-game sweep of Dallas, Raycroft improved to 6-0 on the year (second in the SCAC in victories) with a league-leading 56 strikeouts and an ERA of 1.67 (third in the SCAC).

TLU is ranked second in the latest National Fastpitch Coaches Association poll for NCAA Division III.

After Tuesday's doubleheader sweep of Messiah (Pa.), the Bulldogs are 15-1 overall.

TLU continues play in the Bulldog Classic with a Thursday home doubleheader against the University of Texas at Dallas. The doubleheader is set for a 5:30 p.m. start.
