SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Basketball moved to 3-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 58-50 win Tuesday night over Schreiner University.

Abby Hroch (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) each scored 14 for the Bulldogs, who improved to 7-5 overall.
Schreiner dropped to 0-9 overall and to 0-1 in the SCAC.
TLU opened up a 23-8 lead after the first quarter and led 34-13 at the break. Schreiner shot just 12.9 percent (4-for-31) from the floor in the first half.
Hroch led TLU with seven total boards.
Kasey Hairell (Hallettsville/Hallettsville) and
Anna Koenig (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) each had six rebounds.
TLU led by as many as 23 points. Schreiner rallied late by out-scoring TLU 37-24 in the second half.
Sydney Williams led Schreiner with 19 points. She added four rebounds.
TLU out-rebounded Schreiner 42-41. The Mountaineers had 17 offensive rebounds to TLU's 15.
Each team committed 18 turnovers.
Tara Molina (San Antonio/Johnson) dished out six assists for the Bulldogs.
TLU hits the road Thursday for an exhibition game against NCAA Division I Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m. in Corpus Christi, Texas.
