SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs bounced back from Saturday's defeat and the injury loss of leading scorer
Cami Davis (Marion/Marion) and posted a dominant 77-50 home victory Sunday over Concordia Texas.
In TLU's Memorial Gymnasium (Jim Shuler Court), the Bulldogs out-scored the Tornados in every quarter and put the game away with a 26-13 fourth quarter.
The Bulldogs improved to 4-2 with the non-conference victory and completed a season sweep of Concordia. TLU defeated the Tornados 74-63 on Nov. 8 in Austin.
Concordia dropped to 1-4 with the loss.
Senior guard
Bryanna Delgado (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) scored a career-high 15 points in the TLU win. Delgado hit six of her 10 shots and added four rebounds, two steals and an assist.
Freshman forward
Morgan Rodriguez (New Braunfels/Canyon) came off the bench to score 15. Rodriguez made six of her seven shots and went 3-for-4 from the three-point line.
TLU made a season-high nine three-pointers against Concordia.
The Bulldogs limited the Tornadoes to 30.4 percent shooting. TLU shot 46.2 percent for the game.
TLU point guard
Tara Molina (San Antonio/Johnson) dished out six assists, scored five points, and had four rebounds. Fellow guard
Jenesis Navarro (San Antonio/Lee) also recorded six assists.
TLU had 21 assists on 30 made field goals.
Sophomore post
Abby Hroch (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) pulled down nine rebounds and added eight points.
Fourteen different Bulldogs scored against the Tornados.
Payton Berger led Concordia with 17 points. Kaycie Dunkerly added 14.
TLU returns to action Wednesday with a 6 p.m. home game against the University of Texas at Tyler.
