SEGUIN, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs moved to 3-1 overall with a 71-61 victory Tuesday over McMurry University.
In the Bulldogs' home-opener of the 2018-19 season, TLU led by as many as 25 in the fourth quarter before McMurry made a late run.
McMurry dropped to 0-3 with the non-conference loss.
Senior guard
Cami Davis (Marion/Marion) led TLU with 12 points. She added two assists.
Sophomore guard
Tara Molina (San Antonio/Johnson) chipped in 10 points and four rebounds.
Abby Hroch (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) grabbed six rebounds and scored six points.
Anna Koenig (Fredericksburg/Fredericksburg) contributed nine points and three rebounds.
Dominique Campos (Laredo/Alexander) hit a pair of three-pointers and finished with eight points.
Skyler Reyna led McMurry with 13 points and 17 rebounds. Savannah Johnson paced the War Hawks in scoring with 16.
TLU held McMurry to 38.2 percent shooting for the game. The Bulldogs ended the night at 50 percent, 30-for-60.
TLU had 40 points in the paint and 34 points off the bench.
The Bulldogs host Hardin-Simmons at 3 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Gymnasium. TLU then faces Concordia Texas at 3 p.m. on Sunday, also in Memorial Gymnasium.
Southwestern will face Concordia Texas at 1 p.m. Saturday and Hardin-Simmons at 1 p.m. Sunday. Both games will be played prior to the TLU contests.
