MARSHALL, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Basketball dropped a non-conference contest 71-52 Friday evening against East Texas Baptist.

ETBU improved to 3-0 overall. TLU dropped to 1-1.

At ETBU's Ornelas Gymnasium, Kendrick Clark led ETBU with 25 points. She added five rebounds and two assists.

ETBU shot 45.8 percent for the game. The Tigers were 7-of-13 (53.8 percent) in the second quarter and in the third quarter.

The Tigers held a 13-point lead entering the fourth quarter, but TLU shot 3-for-14 in the fourth quarter and could not close the gap.

The Bulldogs shot 32.7 percent for the game. TLU was 4-for-23 from the three-point line.

Morgan Rodriguez (New Braunfels/Canyon) led TLU with 14 points and five rebounds.

Bulldog post Abby Hroch (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) added 12 points and four rebounds.

TLU plays LeTourneau University at noon Saturday in Ornelas Gymnasium.
