MARSHALL, Texas -- East Texas Baptist handed Texas Lutheran a 87-71 non-conference loss Friday evening at the Tiger's ASC/SCAC Classic.

ETBU improved to 2-0 overall. TLU dropped to 0-2.

At ETBU's Ornelas Gymnasium, the Tigers made 55.6 percent of its shots for the game and hit 40 percent from the three-point line.

ETBU held TLU to 32.5 percent shooting overall and to 25 percent from the arc.

ETBU out-rebounded TLU 46-38.

Robby Dooley led ETBU with 21 points. He added four defensive rebounds, four assists and two blocks. Westin Riddick added 14 points for the Tigers, and Landin Brown contributed 11 points, six rebounds and five steals. 

TLU received 12 points from both Sebastian Andrade and Jacob Kouremetis. Andrade pulled down four rebounds to go along with two steals and an assist. 

Harris Jowell tallied 11 points for the Bulldogs. Jowell snagged five rebounds (2 offensive, 3 defensive) and had two blocks. Jackson Willoughby contributed five defensive rebounds.

TLU plays LeTourneau University at 2 p.m. Saturday in Ornelas Gymnasium.
