SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- No. 15-ranked Trinity University broke open a 1-0 halftime lead with three second-half goals in a 4-0 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win Friday evening over Texas Lutheran.
At McGinlay Soccer Field, Chelsea Cole gave the Tigers an early 1-0 lead in the 12th minute with an unassisted goal.ÂÂ
Lindsey Peng, Tori Schott and Camryn Beall added second-half goals for the Tigers, who moved to 11-1-1 overall and to 10-0 in conference.ÂÂ
Lilah Bevins and Schott each registered assists for Trinity.ÂÂ
TLU fell to 5-5-1 and to 4-4-0 in SCAC play.
The Bulldogs were out-shot 36-0.ÂÂ
TLU returns to action on Sunday as they host the Johnson & Wales (Colo.) Wildcats. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at TLU's Gustafson Field following the men's match.ÂÂ
