IRVING, Texas-- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs took their second Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win of the season with a 58-48 road victory Friday night over the University of Dallas.
In Dallas' Maher Center, the Bulldogs posted 22 points in the paint and went 42.9 percent (6-for-14) from the arc.
TLU improved to 6-10 overall and 2-3 in SCAC play.
Dallas dropped to 7-10 overall and 1-5 in conference.
TLU shot 40.4 percent (23-for-57) for the game - shooting 48.3 in the first half and 32.1 in the second. The Bulldogs out-rebounded UD 36-35.
Presley Stephens and
Cami Davis led the Bulldogs in scoring. Each player scored 16. Davis added two steals, four assists and three rebounds.
Stephens posted an impressive four blocks and eight rebounds.
Michelle DeCoud paced the Crusaders with 17. She added eight rebounds, four assists and one steal.
TLU stays on the road as the team heads to Colorado Springs, Colo. for its next SCAC match-up. TLU faces Colorado College at 1 p.m. MST in Reid Arena.
