SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran pounded out 16 hits in a 11-5 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference win Friday night against Austin College.

The Bulldogs improved to 15-8 overall and to 6-1 in the SCAC.

Austin College fell to 7-18 overall and to 2-5 in the SCAC.

Rayce Gatlin, Colby Schrade and Riley Schaefer each had three hits for the Bulldogs. Gatlin drove in one and scored twice, and Schrade drove in one and scored three times. Schaefer had a run scored and an RBI.

Andrew Whitten and Tyler Cauley each had a pair of hits. Cauley drove in three and went 2-for-2.

Nathan Malinovsky pitched 7-1/3 innings and allowed five runs (four earned). He struck out six and walked three. Malinovsky improved to 3-3.

Landon Weatherly tossed 1-2/3 innings of one-hit relief.

TLU and Austin College play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at TLU's Katt-Isbel Field.
