SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Softball completed a four-game series sweep of Indiana Tech with 3-0 and 6-1 victories Saturday at Ed Kruse Stadium - Morck Softball Field.
Samantha Yenne and
Maitlin Raycroft each picked up pitching victories as TLU improved to 14-4 overall. TLU has now won 14 in a row.
Indiana Tech dropped to 3-16-1 with the non-conference losses.
Yenne moved her pitching record to 1-1 with 6-1/3 innings of work. She allowed just four hits and struck out two. She did not issue a walk.
Amanda Lochte notched the save by retiring the final two batters.
Kaymee Gooden went 2-for-3 and drove in a run in the early game.
Kelsie McEachern had two hits and scored a run.
In the late game, Raycroft won her seventh straight start and improved to 7-2. She allowed just one hit and struck out four in five innings of work.
Gooden tripled and drove in a run, and
Kyla Lockley,
Cassie Roche and
Alyssa Cantu each had two hits. Cantu drove in two, and Roche scored twice.
