SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Basketball stormed to its 19th win of the year with a 68-49 home win Saturday night over University of Dallas.
On Jim Shuler Court in Memorial Gymnasium, TLU opened a 45-22 lead by halftime and cruised to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory over the Crusaders.
TLU improved to 19-5 overall and to 11-2 in the SCAC. Dallas fell to 10-14 overall and to 2-11 in the SCAC.
Senior forward
Savannah Hight (San Antonio/Brandeis) led TLU with 15 points and six rebounds. Hight hit six of her 10 shot attempts. She also collected two blocks, two assists and a steal.
Cierra Jordan (Llano/Llano) pitched in 13 points. Jordan nailed three three-pointers (on five attempts) and recorded three steals and three assists.
The Bulldogs led by as many as 30 points in the third quarter.
Michelle DeCoud led Dallas with 16 points and 12 rebounds.
TLU has one SCAC game remaining - a home game next Friday against Southwestern University. TLU remains a half-game behind SCAC leader Trinity.
