AUSTIN --
Cami Davis (Marion/Marion/UT Tyler) scored 29 points and dished out five assists to lead the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs to a 68-52 road win over Concordia Texas, Tuesday night at Concordia Fieldhouse.
The Bulldogs avenged an earlier loss this year to Concordia.
TLU improved to 2-5 overall. Concordia fell to 5-3.
Davis scored 17 in the first quarter as TLU opened a 29-11 lead. Davis finished the night with 10 made field goals, including three three-pointers.
All three of Davis's three-pointers came in a two-minute stretch in the first quarter.
Tara Molina (San Antonio/Johnson) added 12 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals.
The Bulldogs shot 66.7 percent from the field and 50 percent (5-for-10) from the arc in the first quarter.
Madyson Garcia (San Antonio/Clemens) and
Katie Pesek (Odem/Odem) contributed eight and six points, respectively. Pesek collected five rebounds, and Garcia added four boards.
Abby Hroch (Port Lavaca/Calhoun) registered a game-high nine rebounds. She also tallied five points, two assists and two blocks.
TLU held Concordia to 27.6 percent shooting for the game. From the three-point line, the Tornados were 4-for-20.
The Bulldogs' next two games will take place in Abilene, Texas - against McMurry at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 and against Hardin-Simmons at 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 16.
