IRVING, Texas -- The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs won their eighth game in its last nine contests and improved to 10-3 overall and to 2-0 in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 72-66 road win Sunday over University of Dallas.
TLU senior shooting guard
Cierra Jordan (Llano/Llano) backed up her career-high 21 point performance on Friday with a 19-point scoring effort against the Crusaders.
Jordan added six rebounds and six steals for the Bulldogs. She made six of her 10 shot attempts and two of her four three-point shots.
Bulldog senior forward
Savannah Hight (San Antonio/Brandeis) chipped in 14 points, five assists, three steals and two blocks.
TLU seniors
Bailey Champion (San Antonio/Reagan) and
Kristen Lye (San Antonio/Clark) each scored nine. Freshman forward
Kasey Hairell contributed nine points and seven rebounds.
TLU shot 49.1 percent (27-for-55) for the game. The Bulldogs out-rebounded Dallas 34-27.
Dallas dropped to 7-6 overall and to 0-3 in the SCAC.
The Bulldogs continue SCAC play next Friday and Saturday with home games against Schreiner and Trinity.
