SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Women's Basketball completed a regular-season sweep of Austin College and kept hold of first place in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 64-58 win Friday night in Memorial Gymnasium.

TLU led by as many as 28 in the third quarter and held off the Kangaroos, who dropped to 13-6 overall and to 5-3 in the SCAC.

The Bulldogs improved to 15-4 overall and to 7-1 in the SCAC. TLU has won three straight.

TLU remains tied atop the SCAC with Trinity, who defeated Colorado College 95-52 on Friday.

Kristen Lye recorded her 10th double-double of the season for TLU. The senior forward scored 12 and collected 15 rebounds.

Savannah Hight was the only other Bulldog in double figures. The San Antonio native added 10 points, five rebounds and three assists.

Cierra Jordan dished out a game-high seven assists, and she scored six.
The Bulldogs led 17-4 after the first quarter and out-scored Austin by a combined nine points over the second and third quarters.

Austin put together a 29-point quarter to close out the game as TLU played its entire bench.

Caitlin Rendon chipped in nine points and eight rebounds for TLU. She added two blocks and two steals.

Bryce Frank led the Kangaroos with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

TLU turns around and hosts Centenary College (La.) in a 4 p.m. contest in Memorial Gymnasium.
