SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran drilled 12 of its 21 three-point attempts and rolled past Austin College 97-74 Friday night in Memorial Gymnasium.

The Bulldogs remained a game behind the lead of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference. TLU improved to 12-7 overall with its third consecutive win. The Bulldogs are 6-2 in the SCAC.

Austin fell to 6-13 overall and to 2-6 in the SCAC.

Jordan Kouremetis hit three three-pointers and led TLU in scoring with 21.
Zach Behr made all three of his shots from long range and added 18 points. Behr also grabbed seven rebounds.

Sterling Holmes recorded 15 points, five rebounds and five assists, and
Harris Jowell pulled down a game-high 10 rebounds to go with five points.

The Bulldogs led 51-27 at the half after shooting 51.5 percent from the floor and holding the Kangaroos to 35.7 percent.

In the second half, TLU increased its percentage to 54.5 and made five of six three-pointers.

Matt Perry hit three of four three-point attempts and finished with nine points.
Matthew Gillette contributed 13 points and five rebounds off the Bulldog bench.

Brian Baehl led the Kangaroos with 15 points and eight rebounds.

TLU hosts Centenary College (La.) at 6 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Gymnasium. The dedication ceremony for Jim Shuler Court will take place right before the Bulldogs and Gents tip-off.
