TLU Volleyball drops two matches in SCAC play in Sherman




SHERMAN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball dropped two Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference matches Saturday - falling in three sets to Austin College and in three sets to University of Dallas - in Sherman, Texas.

The Bulldogs fell to 7-6 overall and to 1-4 in the SCAC.

Kristin Fording led TLU with nine kills and three blocks in the loss to Austin College. She added 14 kills, an ace and three blocks in the loss to Dallas.

Mathis Popelsky had 15 and 18 digs in the two matches. Jaci Chambers delivered 15 and 16 assists. Carlie Childres recorded four blocks in each match.

The Bulldogs play No. 3-ranked Colorado College and unranked Centenary College (La.) on Sunday in Sherman. The TLU-CC match is set for a 10 a.m. start. The TLU-Centenary match begins at 4 p.m.
