SEGUIN, Texas -- Four Texas Lutheran relievers held Hardin-Simmons to one hit over the final four innings in the Bulldogs' 8-4 non-conference win Friday night against Hardin-Simmons.
At TLU's Katt-Isbel Field, the Bulldogs fell behind 4-1 after four innings but scored one run in the fifth, two in the sixth, three in the seventh and one in the eighth to rally pass the Cowboys.
TLU improved to 3-2 overall. HSU dropped to 2-2.
Aaron Milone (2-0) picked up the win with a scoreless inning of relief in the seventh. Milone,
Dylan Murrell (6th inning),
Stephen Greenlees (8th) and
Derek Cantu (9th) each tossed scoreless frames.
Lead-off hitter
Colby Schrade, starting at designated hitter, collected two hits, scored a pair of runs and had an RBI.
Keaton Bohrmann went 2-for-4 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI.
J.T. Gorski also had two hits. Gorski doubled and went 2-for-3 with a run scored, an RBI and a walk.
