AUSTIN -- St. Edward's University posted a 90-76 home win over Texas Lutheran in a Thursday night contest that served as a regular-season game for the Hilltoppers but as an exhibition game for the Bulldogs.

St. Edward's improved to 8-4. TLU's record remained at 4-3.

Matthew Gillette led the Bulldogs with 16 points and eight rebounds. Zach Behr added 14 points and three rebounds.

Harris Jowell contributed six points and seven rebounds, and Joshua Thompson posted 10 points and two rebounds.

TLU shot 49.2 percent from the floor and 55.6 percent from the three-point line, but the Bulldogs were out-rebounded 41-21 and gave up 10 more shots to the Hilltoppers.

The Bulldogs return home for games on Dec. 19 and Dec. 20 against Hardin-Simmons and McMurry, respectively.
