SAN ANTONIO -- Texas Lutheran dropped an exhibition game Wednesday night 78-71 to NCAA Division I opponent University of the Incarnate Word.

The game counted as regular-season contest for UIW, who improved to 4-3. The Bulldogs used the game as one of their two in-season exhibition dates. TLU plays its second exhibition game at 7 p.m. Thursday in Austin against St. Edward's.

Zach Behr scored 18 to lead the Bulldogs, who played without leading scorers Sterling Holmes and Jordan Kouremetis.

Michael Sullivan and Mark Sullivan added 12 and 10 points, respectively.

Matthew Gillette grabbed 10 rebounds and scored eight for TLU.
