CONWAY, Ark. -- Texas Lutheran Men's Basketball snapped a three-game skid with a 68-62 neutral site win over Millsaps College (Miss.) on Sunday afternoon.
At Hendrix College (Ark.), the Bulldogs led by as many as 15 in the first half and never relinquished the lead in the second half. TLU made 18 of its 20 free throws for the game, including 14-of-16 in the second half, to keep the Majors at bay.
Millsaps cut the TLU lead down to three on two occasions around the 10-minute mark of the second half, but the Bulldogs responded with a 5-0 spurt to push the lead back to eight with 9:40 to play.
Senior shooting guard
Jordan Kouremetis (San Antonio/O'Connor) led TLU with 18 points. He made two three-pointers and went 5-for-9 from the field and 6-for-6 from the free throw line.
Junior forward
Matthew Gillette (Spring/Klein) tallied his third straight double-double. Against Millsaps, Gillette scored 15 and pulled down 11 rebounds. Gillette made five of his seven shots and all five of his free throws.

Matt Perry's two free throws pushed the TLU lead from three to eight with 9:40 remaining.
Bulldog guard Perry (Kerrville/Tivy) delivered three three-pointers and finished with 11 points.
TLU forward
Harris Jowell (Brock/Brock) contributed 10 rebounds and three assists.
The Bulldogs improved to 4-3 overall with the non-conference win. Millsaps dropped to 2-5.
TLU's next two games are exhibition contests against NCAA Division I foe University of the Incarnate Word (Texas) and NCAA DII opponent St. Edward's (Texas). The Bulldogs play UIW at 7 p.m. Wednesday in San Antonio and face St. Edward's at 7 p.m. Thursday in Austin.
