GEORGETOWN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran split a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference contests Saturday at the SCAC Divisional at Southwestern University.

TLU defeated Schreiner 25-22, 23-25, 25-14, 25-17 and fell to Trinity 25-14, 25-19, 25-14.

TLU now stands at 9-9 overall and at 3-7 in the SCAC.

In the win over Schreiner, Makenzie Griffin led TLU with 15 kills and five blocks. Kristin Fording added 11 kills and two blocks.

Carlie Childres and Mackenzie Zamarripa also recorded 11 kills.

Jaci Chambers delivered 44 assists, and Fording recorded 23 digs. Cadie Mae Vanecek served two aces.

In the loss to Trinity, Fording registered 11 kills and 11 digs. Mathis Popelsky picked up 15 digs. Griffin and Zamarripa each had two blocks.
