SHREVEPORT, La. â€" Texas Lutheran moved into a first-place tie in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a 73-61 road win Sunday over Centenary College (La.).

With the victory at Centenary's Gold Dome, the Bulldogs improved to 11-9 overall and to 7-2 in the conference. The Bulldogs have won four in a row.

TLU now shares the conference lead with Trinity. The Bulldogs and Tigers play this Friday at 8 p.m. in TLU's Memorial Gymnasium.

Against Centenary,
Kristen Lye, the reigning SCAC Player of the Week, made nine of her 11 shots and scored 20 points. Lye (San Antonio/Clark) added eight rebounds and three assists.

Adelaide Wenzel (Victoria/Victoria East) and
Taylor Dydalewicz (Dripping Springs/Lake Travis) added 16 and 14 points, respectively. Wenzel made seven of her 13 shots, and Dydalewicz connected on three of her four three-point attempts.

Savannah Hight (San Antonio/Brandeis) chipped in nine points and five assists.

The Bulldogs led by as many as 28 points in the second half.

TLU went to the free throw line 29 times and made 23. The Bulldogs took advantage of 27 Centenary turnovers.

DeiAnna Hall led Centenary with 21 points.
