SEGUIN, Texas -- Defending conference champion Texas Lutheran ran its Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference record to 7-0 with an 88-79 home win over Centenary College (La.).
Saturday in TLU's Memorial Gymnasium, TLU improved to 15-3 overall with the win over the Gents, the team the Bulldogs defeated in the SCAC Championship game last year. TLU and Centenary shared the 2014-15 SCAC regular-season crown.
Bulldog shooting guard
Jordan Kouremetis (San Antonio/O'Connor) scored 16 and hit three three-pointers.

Zach Behr (Temple/Temple) and
Matthew Gillette (Spring/Klein) each added 15 points. Gillette collected six rebounds and went 6-for-8 from the field. Behr delivered five assists and four rebounds.
TLU point guard
Sterling Holmes (San Antonio/Antonian) dished out six assists and grabbed seven rebounds.
Jacob Kouremetis (San Antonio/O'Connor), younger brother of Jordan, came off the bench to hit three three-pointers and score nine points in nine minutes of action.
Kendall Demouchet led the Gents (10-8, 3-5 SCAC) with 24 points and six rebounds. Travion Kirkendoll contributed 19 points and 10 rebounds.

TLU recorded 23 assists on 26 made baskets.

The Bulldogs went to the line 30 times and made 23 free throws.
