Early goal by Wells leads Bulldogs to 1-0 shutout win at Austin College

SHERMAN, Texas -- First-year player Aubrie Wells (Houston/Lutheran South) scored at the 8:05 mark as the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs recorded a 1-0 conference road win over Austin College.
 
Sunday afternoon in Sherman, Wells took a feed from fellow freshman Kyndall Ramirez (San Marcos/San Marcos) and beat Austin College keeper Laura McGee.
 
TLU controlled the match and out-shot Austin College 16-5.
 
McGee made five saves, and the Kangaroos also had a team save.
 
TLU keeper Erin Rose notched three saves.
 
The Bulldogs are back at Gustafson Field at 5 p.m. Friday with an SCAC match against the University of Dallas.
