SEGUIN, Texas --
Claudia Trevino broke a scoreless tie in the 59th minute, and
Sioned Kirkpatrick knocked home a penalty kick in the 76th minute as the Texas Lutheran Bulldogs moved to 7-0-1 with a 2-0 victory Friday over University of Dallas.
The Bulldogs also remained unbeaten in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference play. TLU's conference mark stands at 3-0-1.
Dallas dropped to 1-8-0 overall and to 0-3-0 in the SCAC.
Trevino put the Bulldogs on the board with shot from the extreme right side of the goal. It went across the face of the goal, bounced off the left post and caromed into the left corner of the net.
Jessica Coronado received the assist.
Kirkpatrick, TLU's senior forward, gave the Bulldogs the two-goal cushion with a penalty kick at the 75:40 mark.
TLU led 15-4 in shots and 8-4 in shots on goal. Bulldog keeper
Erin Rose made four saves.
The Bulldogs' next match is set for next Friday, a 6 p.m. encounter in San Antonio with top-five ranked Trinity University.
