SEGUIN, Texas -- Twenty-third ranked Southwestern handed Texas Lutheran its first women's volleyball of 2015 with a 25-22, 25-19, 26-24 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference victory Saturday at TLU's Tostengard Activity Center.

Southwestern improved to 10-1 overall. TLU fell to 7-1.

Abbie Robb and Kaitlyn Foster delivered 14 and 10 kills, respectively, for the Pirates. Foster added 16 digs. Nikki Welch dished out 27 assists, and Kirby Kincannon recorded four block assists.

Kristin Fording led TLU with 17 kills. She hit .192 with 52 attempts and seven errors. She contributed 15 digs.
Megan Dugie led TLU with 19 digs.

Carlie Chidlres, TLU's junior middle blocker, had six kills and four total blocks.
Brette Threadgill contributed nine kills.

Southwestern hit .179 as a team and held TLU to .111.
Southwestern and TLU each have one match remaining in the SCAC Divisional Tournament in Seguin. The Pirates are 2-0 after wins over Trinity and TLU. The Bulldogs are 1-1 after a Friday win over Schreiner and Saturday's loss to Southwestern.

Southwestern concludes the SCAC Divisional with a 3 p.m. match Saturday against Schreiner. TLU finishes the SCAC Divisional with a 5 p.m. match Saturday against Trinity.
