KERRVILLE, Texas â€" Texas Lutheran Baseball made it seven straight SCAC wins, finishing off a dominant road sweep of Schreiner with a pair of blowout wins.

The Bulldogs opened the Friday doubleheader with a 15-5 win before finishing off the sweep with a 14-0 shutout. Over the three games TLU outscored Schreiner 45-6, the largest margin of victory in a SCAC series for the Bulldogs.

The two wins on Friday improved Texas Lutheran's record to 21-9 overall and 10-2 in the SCAC.

In the first game, the Bulldogs waited two innings before opening the scoring with four runs in the third inning. Two of those runs were scored on a
Keaton Bohrmann (San Antonio, Texas) double.

The offense finished the game with 15 hits, including four for extra bases. The hits were distributed throughout the lineup, with 12 different players recording at least one.

Bohrmann finished 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.
Justin Law (Houston, Texas) was a perfect 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run.

The Bulldogs really broke the game open in the eighth inning with seven runs on eight hits. Those seven runs helped end the game after eight innings, enacting the 10-run rule.
Trenton Ray did a lot of damage in that eighth inning, clearing the bases with a bases-loaded double.

Thomas Harwell (Humble, Texas) improved to 5-2 with the win on the mound. The senior tossed seven shutout innings, giving up just five hits while striking out nine. He retired the first 11 batters he faced.

The Bulldogs kept the momentum they built up from the first game, racing out to a 7-0 lead after two innings in the series finale. They ended up scoring in each of the first five innings, eventually claiming the 14-0 win in seven innings.

Keaton Bohrmann was an extra-base machine and racked up four RBI in the final game of the series. The junior went 3-for-5 and needed just a single to complete the cycle. He racked up a homer, a triple and a double in the ballgame.

The Bulldogs used the long ball to their advantage in the finale, smashing three round trippers. Bohrmann's three-run shot came in the second inning and gave TLU a 6-0 lead. Law followed with a solo shot of his own to make it 7-0 off the back-to-back jacks.

Zach Jacobs (Brenham, Texas) got in on the home run fun later. He smashed the second homer of his career in the fourth inning. The two-run shot made it 12-0.

The Bulldog offense continued to roll in the second game, racking up 14 more hits, with 10 of them going for extra bases.

For the series, the Bulldogs combined for 51 hits and hit .411. They racked up 21 extra-base hits, good for a .685 slugging percentage.

They will look to continue that momentum in a non-conference road game on Tuesday, April 7 at Mary Hardin-Baylor. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. in Belton.
