SEGUIN, Texas â€" The Texas Lutheran Bulldogs completed a four-game season sweep of Concordia Texas by posting 7-0 and 8-0 non-conference wins Wednesday at TLU's Ed Kruse Stadium â€" Morck Softball Field.

The Bulldogs did not allow the Tornados to score in four games this season. In the prior doubleheader, played in Seguin on Feb. 17, TLU won 16-0 and 8-0 against Concordia.

In Wednesday's two victories, TLU pitching limited the Tornados to six total hits in 12 innings of play.

TLU improved to 12-4 overall. Concordia fell to 4-11.

The second game ended in the fifth-inning on an RBI single by
Cierra Jordan (Burnet/Burnet).

In game one, junior right-hander
Taylor Grissom (Spring/Klein Collins) registered her sixth win in her sixth start of the season. Grissom (6-0) surrendered just one hit in four innings of work. She struck out two and did not walk a batter.

In game two,
Veny Pizana (Odem/Odem) moved to 4-2 with 3-1/3 innings pitched. She allowed just two hits.
Samantha Yenne (Lake Jackson/Brazoswood) tossed the final 1-2/3 innings in game two and struck out two.

Nicole Snow (Tomball/Klein Oak) went 3-for-4 with two runs scored in the early game.
Taylor Yancey (Magnolia/Magnolia West) added two doubles and an RBI.

Heather Hummel (Houston/Stratford) registered a pair of hits and drove in a run.

In game two,
Jennifer Gallagher (Missouri City/Elkins) drove in four and went 2-for-3.
Grace Estes (Willis/Willis) collected a pair of hits and scored twice.

TLU's next four games will be Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference games against Schreiner University. The doubleheaders at Kruse Stadium are scheduled for noon Sunday and 4 p.m. Monday.
