SEGUIN, Texas -- Texas Lutheran Volleyball closed out its regular season with a three-set, non-conference home win Friday night over Concordia Texas. TLU won 25-22, 25-23, 27-25.
Brette Threadgill delivered 15 kills and made just one error to post a .412 hitting percentage in the win.
Kristin Fording added 14 kills and 13 digs.
Kelcie Ingram dished out 21 assists, and
Megan Dugie corralled 18 digs.
Carlie Childres and
Mackenzie Zamarripa each collected four block assists.
Carly Custer led Concordia with 15 kills. Katie Baker added 11 kills.
The Bulldogs will enter next weekend's Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship as the No. 3 seed and with a 17-7 overall record.
Concordia Texas fell to 11-10 with the road loss.
The match, which began at 6 p.m. in TLU's Tostengard Activity Center (Susan Duke Court), was supposed to be the fourth match of the 2015 Halloween Classic, but severe storms in the area kept teams from reaching Seguin.
Only two matches - the Schreiner v. Concordia match and the TLU v. Concordia match - were played Friday.
All five Saturday matches of the Halloween Classic have been canceled.
