Zac Nguyen (Houston/Memorial) is a junior outfielder for Texas Lutheran.
2021: Nguyen was a member of the 2021 SCAC Championship team that advanced to the NCAA Division III Baseball Wisconsin-Whitewater Regional. Played in one game for the Bulldogs, and drew a base-on-balls with the bases loaded to earn an RBI as TLU beat Austin College, 21-3 in the first game of the three-game weekend series at Katt-Isbel Field.
2020: Nguyen made two starts and played in seven total games for Texas Lutheran. Scored one run and was perfect in his eight defensive chances in left field for TLU.
2019: Was part of the Bulldogs run to the SCAC regular-season title, played for the SCAC Championship in Cleburne, Texas and hosted the NCAA Division III Baseball Seguin Regional. Nguyen made two starts and played in ten total games as a freshman for the Bulldogs. Batted .188 in 16 at-bats. Had two singles, one double, and scored three runs. He was one-for-two in stolen base attempts.
Nguyen played for Jeremy York at Memorial High School in Houston, Texas and graduated in 2018.
Personal: His parents are Hugh and Christy Nguyen. Has three siblings, Anna, Amy, and Zane. His major is business management.
