2022 (Senior)
Played in 40 games for the Bulldogs...hitting .272 (41-for-151) with 49 runs, six doubles, four triples, four home runs, 22 RBI, 35 stolen bases, and 29 walks...finished the year leading the team in stolen bases (35), runs scored (49), and triples (4)...finished seventh in NCAA Division-III in stolen bases...tied Dax Kiefer (1995) for most stolen bases in a single-season in TLU Baseball history...committed five errors in 87 total chances in the infield (.943 FLD%)...stole a program record four bases against Austin College (4/9)...member of both Bulldogs quintents who stole a program record nine bases against Austin College (4/9)...earned a spot on the 2022 All-SCAC Second Team as a third baseman.
2021 (Junior)
Huerta was a member of the 2021 SCAC Championship team that advanced to the NCAA Division III Baseball Wisconsin-Whitewater Regional. Was an All-West Region selection as a third baseman. Was an SCAC First-Team selection, earned SCAC All-Tournament Team honors, and was named SCAC Hitter-of-the-Week for Week 10. In his first year with the Bulldogs, Huerta made a huge impact in his 31 games played. Had nine home runs in (104) at-bats (4th in the SCAC and 3rd on the team), was fifth in the SCAC and second on the team with (11) hit-by-pitch. Huerta slugged (.644), and had 15 of his 32 hits come with extra-bases. Was tied for fifth on the team with (36) runs scored. Was seven-for-seven in stolen base attempts. Had a (.934) fielding-percentage in (76) defensive chances.
Huerta transferred to TLU from Midland College in the summer of 2020 after spending his first two seasonds with the Chaps.
High School
Huerta is a graduate of New Braunfels High School where he played for Coach Alford and was an All-District selection.
