Nick Gardoni (Gonzales/Hartnell) is a senior third baseman/designated-hitter for Texas Lutheran.
2021: Nick Gardoni was a member of the 2021 SCAC Championship team that advanced to the NCAA Division III Baseball Wisconsin-Whitewater Regional. Gardoni was used primarily as a pinch-hitter, and made four starts as the designated-hitter or playing third base, and played in ten total games in his third year at TLU. Had one double and three total hits, scored three runs and had three RBI. Was seven-for-eight in defensive chances.
2020: Was named to the SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll for the second time as a Bulldog. Played in six games, made three starts at third base and had three pinch-hit at-bats. Batted (.273) in 11 at-bats. Recorded one double, had three RBI and scored two runs. Was 10-for-11 in total defensive chances at third base.
2019: Was named to the SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll in his first season at TLU. Part of a Bulldog squad that won the SCAC regular-season title, played for an SCAC Championship in the SCAC Tournament, and hosted the NCAA Division III Baseball Seguin Regional. Was an SCAC Honorable Mention selection as a left-handed designated-hitter for the Bulldogs. Played in 35 games and made 34 starts at either second base, third base or as the designated-hitter. Batted .274 in 113 at-bats. His ten doubles was tied for the team-lead with Cauley. He was sixth on the team with 31 total hits. Hit his first home run against Hardin-Simmons in a 8-3, Bulldog victory on February 15th. Scored 28 runs and had 27 RBI. Slugged .425 and had an on-base percentage of .420. Was five-for-six in stolen base attempts.
Gardoni was an All-Conference selection at Hartnell College before transferring to TLU in the summer of 2018.
He is a graduate of Palma High School and he played for Pete Ruiz.
