2022 (Junior)
Played in 37 games behind the plate for the Bulldogs...hitting .339 (42-for-124) with 41 runs, nine doubles, one triple, two home runs, 26 RBI, and 24 walks...finished the year leading the team in hit-by-pitches (20) and on-base percentage (.506) and ranked second in batting average...stole three bases as a member of Bulldogs quintent who stole a program record nine bases against Austin College (4/9)...hit a two-run home run against St. Thomas (TX) (4/3)...hit a solo home run against Sul Ross State, his first as a Bulldog (3/5)...maintained a .996 fielding percentage in 276 total chances...earned a spot on the 2022 All-SCAC honorable mention team as a catcher.
2021 (Sophomore)
Philippus was a member of the 2021 SCAC Championship team that advanced to the NCAA Division III Baseball Wisconsin-Whitewater Regional...Philippus was one of two catchers who split time handling the TLU pitching staff....In his first year as a Bulldog, Philippus batted (.266) in 64 at-bats, making 20 starts behind the plate....Had seven extra base hits, scored 16 runs and recorded 16 RBI....He was a perfect, seven-for-seven, in stolen base attempts...Helped lead the TLU pitching staff to the best earned run average (4.52) and most strikeouts (341) in the SCAC.
2020 (Sophomore at Midland Junior College)
Philippus transferred to TLU in the summer of 2020 after spending the previous two years at Midland College.
High School
Philippus is a graduate of San Antonio Christian High School where he played for Mike Kripner and received numerous accolades...He was a First Team All-State selection his senior year, was a Second Team All-State selection twice, and was an All-District selection all four years.

His parents are Al and Jeanne Philippus...Has two sisters, Mary and Hallee.
