Biography

Hayden Mundy (Deer Park/La Porte) is a senior second baseman for Texas Lutheran.

2021: Mundy was a member of the 2021 SCAC Championship team that advanced to the NCAA Division III Baseball Wisconsin-Whitewater Regional. Played in four total games and recorded two at-bats.

2020: Mundy was named to the SCAC Spring Academic Honor Roll for the first time as a Bulldog. Was used as a pinch runner in one game for TLU.

2018: Was a member of the SCAC Championship squad that won the Spokane Regional, qualified for the NCAA DIII Baseball Championsip in Appleton, Wisconsin, and played for a national championsip after winning their side of pool play. Mundy had one at-bat in a 14-5, Bulldog victory over LeTourneau in the Rusty Greer Jackie Moore Classic.

Mundy played for Ricky Torres at La Porte High School and was named First Team All-District as a utility player in 2016. 

Personal: His parents are Danny and Cheryl Mundy. Has one sister, Haley. His major is business management and his minor is in information systems.
